When We Rocked focuses on the Philadelphia musical landscape of Rock, from roughly 1978 to 1992, telling the story of a city, the music scene that emerged and its involvement and link to the national stage.
When We Rocked lays the foundation and framework of a time that was like no other; when Rock ‘n Roll was a way of life, highlighting the people, places, and events that were instrumental in making Philadelphia, the music, and the bands of that time, uniquely impactful and forever unforgettable.
When We Rocked includes first-hand accounts from notable Philly artists such as Johnny Dee (Britny Fox, World War III, Doro), Dave Weakley (Teeze/Roughhouse), Reggie Wu (Heaven’s Edge), Ken Shockley (Assassin), Michael Natalini (Teeze/Roughhouse), Roberto Lombardi (April Fool), John Coonan (Seeker), Gary Capriotti (Anvil Bitch), and Chris Natalini (Praying Mantis Productions, Final Prayer) among others. Along with national perspectives from artists such as Lorraine Lewis (Femme Fatale), Jack Russell (Great White), Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Mike Tramp (White Lion), Chip Z’Nuff (Enuff Z’ Nuff), and Stephen Pearcy (Ratt).
